Safety & security
Staff, students and visitors can feel safe on-campus with our safety initiatives and easy to access security services.
Security & personal safety
Curtin’s Safer Community Team makes sure the campus remains a safe and friendly place for all students and provides safety assistance to staff and students on campus. The team conducts 24/7 security patrols and provides after-hours security escorts. We provide a 24-hour support service every day of the year to the Bentley, Technology Park, Shenton Park, Murray Street and Kalgoorlie campuses. The service comprises a combination of preventative patrols, CCTV surveillance, response to calls, shuttle bus services and security escorts.
There are also emergency telephone stations throughout the campus along with well-lit, safe pathways and secure-card building access.
Use one of our courtesy buses to safely and easily travel around campus. We operate a campus courtesy bus service to help staff and students travel around campus safely in the evenings during semester.
You can also get to and from campus on CABS (Curtin Access Bus Service). The service operates each weekday and services Bentley and surrounding suburbs including Waterford, South Perth and Victoria Park.
